GPU is at 99% (tested with a Titan X Pascal and with 1080Ti) both will max out at 99%, so the GPU is currently the limit to higher FPS. This is actually a good thing since newer GPUs from nVidia and AMD will be coming out later this year that claim to double the performance of current 1080Ti and Titan X Pascal GPUs. If you look at the scene of DC3 in Orbx SoCal at the end of the video, you'll see objects as far as the eye can see, each objects is around 5-10 polygon/surfaces ... including the scenery, aircraft, clouds there are probably well over 100K polygons to render, then add SSAA processing, and HDR and shaders. This is considerably more than ANY other flight simulator has attempted to render ... so in my extreme stress testing using known 3rd party content that used to OOM after 10 seconds and adding my own additional tweaks to further increase LOD and shadow quality, I'm surprised I was able to sustain "flyable" FPS. If you can find ANY other flight simulator that can crunch this many visuals please let me know, I want to test it ... the closest I've used is XP11, but when I max out XP11 I'm down to 7 FPS in DD's NY and with horrible shadow quality. I've seen other world simulator engines do nice visuals, but they aren't flight simulators and their environment is static.
